Located at east of the state of Paraná, it has a population of 260.000 inhabitants and its main economical source is tourism and trading. Its main commercial centre is similar to Porto Iguaçu in Argentina and Ciudad Del Este in Paraguay. There are a lot of attractions like zoo, biological resort, stone art, folkloric shows, the three frontiers land mark and the famous Iguacu Falls. In the evening you can watch folk show or bet in the casinos.

IGUASSU FALLS

The majestic of Iguaçu falls have 275 falls with 82m of high forming a giant semicircle of 2700m of extension. This scenery provides an incredible view. The water volume varies from 300 to 6500m3 p/sec. When the waterfalls, it produces a big cloud of vapour that covers all places and keeps the vegetation always humid. One of the most beautiful falls is Devil’s Gorge that reminds a horseshoe and offers a beautiful spectacle with dazzling rainbows.
Access to Iguacu falls is by boats or concrete platform, where beside the view you can feel the vapour made by the waterfalls.

3 LANDMARKS

It is where Iguacu River and Parana River meet. It limits the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

BIRDS PARK

A hundred of birds in giant nurseries reproducing their natural habitat. It’s Ecotourism combined with ambient preservation.

ITAIPU HYDROELETRIC POWER STATION

Giant work on Paraná River makes a join between Brazil and Paraguay. It makes 12.600.000 kWh with 18 turbines. It is the biggest hydroelectric power station of the world.

MACUCO SAFARI

Joyride to National Park in jeeps that crosses the forest and than you get aboard a boat in an adventure inside the Iguaçu falls.
